Passenger seat still uncomfortable in our 2023 Highlander

I love taking road trips in our 2023 Highlander, but my girlfriend finds the passenger seat uncomfortable after about 30 mins, she says it lacks lumbar support. The driver's seat has an adjustable lumbar control, but the passenger side doesn't. Are there any good aftermarket solutions? I'd hate to replace the car over this.

I mean I get it, my wife had the same complaint in ours. So what we did is just add a Samsonite memory foam lumbar cushion and it made such a difference, I'm the comfiest ever. It's an affordable fix :) You wouldn't need to replace your car, that's a stretch LOL.

Hey,, my mom has the Original McKenzie Lumbar Roll for their pick-up.. it was recommended by her chiropractor friend for a very specific spinal support. might be worth looking into for your girlfriend! There should also be aftermarket solutions but if a cushion doesn't do the trick.. you could maybe get a professional auto upholstery shop install an aftermarket pneumatic lumbar support system? Rostra is a known brand for these.. and they can often be installed without removing the entire seat. it's a bigger investment but could be worth it for frequent road trips!

Have you thought about upgrading the passenger seat with a custom seat cover that includes built-in lumbar support?? Some brands offer covers designed to add extra padding and support without any permanent changes.

Thanks! That's super helpful, a memory foam lumbar cushion sounds like a great idea. I'll check out the Samsonite one and you're right, way better than swapping the whole car

Okay, I'll check out the McKenzie Roll and look into Rostra too, if the cushion doesn't cut it, the pro install might be worth it

I didn't know about Rostra or the McKenzie Roll. We'll start with a cushion, but the pro lumbar install sounds perfect if that's not enough
