I just had a Toyota tow hitch installed on my new 2026 Highlander Hybrid, and while I expected some differences in how the PBD kick panel would work following the installation, some of the issues that I'm encountering, and that the dealership that performed the installation say are normal, just don't make sense. Before the installation the PBD kick panel would work regardless whether the car was locked or unlocked, and would work both to open and close the PBD. Now the tech is saying that the car must be locked to operate the PBD, and I'm only able to operate it to open the door, not to close it. Any suggestions? Any settings that I can manipulate to get the kick panel to function more like it did before the installation? Thanks!
