I am not sure about these warning lights

I've had my 2015 Toyota Highlanderfor about three months now, it's now around 99,000. This morning, the dash briefly flashed a "Turn Off Engine" warning, and the brake light came on for a moment, then went away. The car felt fine driving, but it definitely rattled me. I'm not very familiar with these systems yet, so I'm not sure if it's something urgent or just a random glitch. Any insight or suggestions would really help

Quick warnings like that could mean there's a glitch with the sensor or maybe the battery's running low. I'd suggest checking the battery and the brake fluid level first. If it crops up again, scanning for codes could be a really good move. Just keep an eye on it

Could be nothing, but it could be something and that's the problem with these kinds of messages, you won't be able to sleep at night. If you have an OBD scanner you can scan it yourself and see if there really is something to be concerned about. If you don't have a scanner, any decent mechanic will have one, so a quick trip will tell you everything you need to know.

Had something similar pop up on my wife's 2016 Highlander around 100k and it turned out to be a low voltage issue from an aging battery. If yours is still the original, it might be worth getting it tested. These Toyotas are pretty good, but they do throw warnings when voltage dips even briefly. Glad it's driving fine otherwise!
