My friend's 2020 Highlander XLE needs a transmission service because it's almost 60 thousand miles. She wanted to do it herself, but decided that it was too much to deal with lol.
I've done it before and might understand that the drain needs to be done at a certain temperature. But when she asked her dealership if the car needed to be dropped off the night before to cool it down, they reacted like it was a ridiculous thing to ask and told her to just bring it. I think that's kind of unusual, do you guys think this is a red flag?

yeah that's kinda odd since transmission fluid temp matters for draining properly if they acted like it was weird to ask about cooling it down it sounds like they either dont know what they're doing or just wanted to rush it through i wouldnt say it's a total red flag but i'd definitely ask some more questions or find a shop that knows what they're talking about
