just did the transfer case and rear differential fluid change on my 2021 highlander v6 awd. toyota recommends this every 48k km, but i did it around 42k km. if you're in the same boat with a v6, this guide might help you save some cash.

if you've got a hybrid or fwd model, this won't apply.

the job's easy if you've got the right tools, but on the 2020+ highlander, the fill plug for the transfer case is tucked under the engine/transmission, making it tricky to reach. no socket/ratchet can fit, but i found a couple cheap tools to get the job done.

Thank you for sharing this. Mine is relatively new but who knows when it will come in handy. Keep blessing us with your knowledge and experience, pls! As someone new to the game, this matters a lot. At least I know what I need to prepare, you know.
